Puppy biting and how to deal with it.

In this article, you will learn about puppy biting and how to deal with it.

There are many reasons why puppies chew or bite you, your furniture and anything in sight.

The main reason is because of a natural thing that also happens in human babies. Puppies bite because they are teething, and their gums are itchy and feel funny. They chew or bite to get over that sensation and relax. How do you feel when there is an itch on your body? You want to scratch it so bad. Imagine that feeling happening all the time, all day for a few weeks and around your gum.

There are other reasons that also contribute to puppies to bite and chew. One other reason is basically that it is fun. So, you need to provide fun toys for the puppy to work on and play with.

The other reason is basically is because it becomes a habit. Once you allow the puppy to practice this behaviour over and over, it will feel that it is normal behaviour and it will continue to repeat it.

The last reason is that dogs and puppies do chew and bite each other as play. It is fun. It also teaches them to bite inhibition, how much to bite, how to bite and where to bit. These are great lessons that puppies need to learn and practice on each other. So, you need to let your puppy play with other puppies and well-behaved dogs to practice this with other dogs and not with humans.
